2013 Reel Round Up

2013

Wow!! It's hard to believe that 2013 is coming to a close!! I really feel like this year just started, so I have no idea how we are all at the end of it suddenly!! lol 

This year my focus was more on my family.  As I wasn't on set much this year....I still had some amazing advancements in my acting/modeling career!!  Some of the films that I have been apart of have been seen all over the world this year!!  I was featured in a few magazines this year (Cambalacho New Mag. in Brazil, Rebel Ink Mag, USA, and Xalt Mag. in Canada)  I was able to attend some conventions this year as a professional, which was so super cool!

Odd Brodsky going to the Mill Valley Film Festival 36

So exciting!!
I just heard that Odd Brodsky, a comedy film that I was apart of will be going to have it's world premiere at the  Mill Valley Film Festival in October 2013!!  This is pretty exciting because  it was 1 of 21 U.S. Features to be shown at this Film Festival !!

Congrats to all the cast and crew for all the hard work and dedication!  There are so many people in this film that are amazing in their craft!! I'm excited I got to be apart of this project!!

Here is a little info about the film:

Cindy Baer (Purgatory House, MVFF 2004) explores the hopes and aspirations of a recent oddball transplant to Los Angeles in her whimsical, quirky comedy about following your dream. When Audrey Brodsky is born, her parents recognize a new little artist in the world. As a girl, Audrey (nicknamed Odd) is perpetually optimistic, and gamely jumps into the pursuit of a life in art. After attempts at singing, piano, painting, dancing and violin fall short, she discovers drama—and a vision of her future is born. Fast-forward to her early 20s: Audrey hitchhikes from Hollywood, Iowa, to Los Angeles with a backpack and an endearing optimism. There, our lovable loser with a big heart takes a steady day job until she finally musters the courage to quit and become an actress. And that’s when the true adventures begin, ones Audrey could never have dreamt.

Wahooo...Tonight is the night!! 8.13 will be on the BIG SCREEN over at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California!! 9th Annual Hollyshorts 2013 Film Festival.

The night went super!!  It was so nice reconnecting with my Zom813 family again! For those Zom813z that couldn't make it...you were missed!! :)   Hollyshorts 2013 film festival had 12,000 in attendance this year!! Amazing!!   I can tell you honestly, the night we had our block at 9:30 PM on Wed. Aug 21st....the theatre was SOLD OUT!!  There were people standing b/c they over sold tickets!! Pretty freakin' cool really!! That was some really cool exposure!

I want to thank everyone who ran the Hollyshorts festival, it was wonderful and the venue was awesome!  Also, I shout out to my Zom813 Cast and Crew.....it was great to see everyone again!!  I feel so lucky to have been apart of this amazing group of people!! Thanks for all the hours, blood, sweat and tears to make it all happen!!
