2016 Reel Round Up !!

2016 REEL ROUND UP!!! 

My goodness another year closing!! It went super fast!!  As some of you know, I've taken a bit of a break from the call "ACTION" on set! As I do miss it... I've begun a new journey of self discovery and earlier this year enrolled myself in the study of Metaphysics! I'm half way though my studies and have already become a certified Lunar Mystic (Following Cycles of the Moon/Rituals) and a certified Tarot Mystic (I'm an official Tarot Card Reader)!!  At the end of my studies I will be a CMP.. a Certified Metaphysical Practitioner!  I'm looking forward to sharing more as time carries forward!  I'm really excited to share what I've learned!! I have always been one to want to help people and make them smile and this is exactly what I've been called to do!  I have a new website in the works and more details to follow!!

As for film life... as I said I haven't been on set for about a year now!  Crazy, feels like just yesterday I was on CSI !!
So... the cool thing about being in film is you never know when progress will happen!! This year showed just that.. the film I'm in , "Innocent Blood" was released on Hulu and Amazon Prime for your viewing please as well as "Odd Brodsky" was released on iTunes! If you'd like to see them, they are both amazing films!! Click my links below to see more! In TV land,  I was on the Eric Andre Show (Season 4, Ep. 5) it aired Sept. 9th, 2016... and if you watched, you got to see my crazy dancing!! lol

In addition to that... in the modeling world, I became a Trading Card!! Yep, I'm Shannon Page from Blood Drive and you can get your hands on my trading card from the set called "Iron Dead Legends" !!
For my Tunes Tuesday... I've also taken a break from that.. I plan on doing them again at some point... but I was lucky enough to have gone on the "No Boundaries Radio Show" and perform yet again live on their radio station!! Thanks Jojo and William for that opportunity!!

2015 Reel Round Up

Oh my goodness.. is it just me or did 2015 FLY by super duper fast????  Well you know what that means, right?? Guess we are all having a lot of fun huh??

This year has truly been another amazing year!! I'm super super happy to have shared my musical talents with you guys.  That was my focus for 2015!! I started to learn the Ukulele (self taught) in Oct. 2014 and decided in May 2015 that I would start to share what I was learning with you on my YouTube channel!!! I had an amazing response to it actually... and happily!! I went from 24 subscribers in May 2015 to 546 now in Dec. 2015!!! I have shared with you some of my favorite songs, I have done special song requests... I did my 1st ever LIVE Broadcast for Xmas and I also shared with you 3 different radio interviews/live music playing... I had my 1st YouTube Contest to celebrate reaching 500 subscribers..... oh, and my most recent addition to my tattoo collection.. my head tattoo journey!! I also was lucky enough to have WON a talent contest hosted by the Dolby Theatre!!   I even ventured out and wrote a few songs this year "Happy You" and "Just Be" I want to work on writing more songs in 2016!! It really has been an amazing year!!

I was able to be on set once this year for "The Eric Andre Show" for his upcoming Season 4!! It's always awesome when my film family is thinking of each other (thank you Chris) ... thus me finding out about this gig and auditioning... to landing the role... I just couldn't pass it up!! I had the most fun on set and got to work with some amazing people once again!! I would love to tell you more, but I must wait until after the episode airs which I heard was due out sometime in late Jan/Feb 2016.  It was an amazing year for a film I was in called "Odd Brodsky" as it hit the film festival circuits big time and won many awards!!! More exciting news will follow soon about Odd Brodsky  !!

 I have taken a bit of time off filming this year to be able to spend more time with my family and my Daughter who is nearing the end of her High School Years.  As I have missed it a lot, doing my YouTube videos for you guys definitely scratches the itch to be in front of the camera!! I plan on getting back in to acting after my Daughter graduates... but of course, if something comes my way... I'm not going to pass the opportunity up!!

With 2016 really really close... I  plan on continuing my #TunesTuesday videos with you over on my YouTube channel!! As always I'm willing to take requests if you have any.. and in fact, I'm working on a few for a handful of people currently!! I'm looking forward to sharing more soon!!!

2014 Reel Round Up

2014

Wow!!! Where did 2014 Go???  Going....going....just about gone!!!  2014 was a year that I wasn't on set much, as I wanted to spend more time with my family and not miss all the exciting things left with my Daughter who is growing up way too fast!!  Even though I didn't work on set this year....there sure were quite a few exciting things happening!!  Lots of the films I was a part of were seen all over the world!!!  Innocent Blood, Better than Bullies, 8.13 and Odd Brodsky all were screening in 2014!!  If you were able to catch them I appreciate your support!! :) 

I think working on film projects are just the best....they really never go away....totally immortalize  you, which if you ask me...is pretty neat!

Since I was spending more time at home this year, I ended up picking up a new hobby!  I have been teaching myself how to play Ukulele !! I started in Oct. 2014 and up to Dec. 2014 I have taught myself 20 songs!!  I'm excited to learn more!! I have posted some of the songs I've been learning on my YouTube channel.  CLICK HERE TO VIEW!! 
More will follow!!  I have never attempted to learn a string instrument before, this was my 1st time...just goes to show...your never too old to learn new tricks!! :)

2015....I hope to get back on set slowly but surely!!  Looking forward to all the things and adventures ahead!!

Broad Humor plays comedies directed by women...and if you didn't know our Director on this project was the amazing Cindy Baer!  This intimate festival is on MovieMaker Magazine's list of "Top Five Coolest Women's Film Festivals!"  

I promise you this film is worth watching!! My family and I were able to attend the premiere of this at the Chinese Theater and it was amazing to see how it all came together!!  It made us laugh, cry and smile!!! The story line and quality of the film was super!!  Everyone in the film was amazing!! I feel lucky to have had a little part in this film!! If you go to watch it....you will see me almost at the very end of the film (I'm wearing a wig...look close) ! ;)

Hollywood Premiere of "Odd Brodsky"

Last night was a complete BLAST!!!
"Odd Brodsky" a film that I was apart of was finally premiering in Hollywood last night!! :)
It was playing at the Chinese Theatre!! It just so happens that is the 2nd one of my films that has been shown there....so that was pretty exciting!! :)

I was also excited to be able to share the night with my two loves my Hubby Jared and Daughter Kelsey.  I appreciate their support with all of my adventures thus far!! The  cool part was that in the film there is a part where their is a collage of pictures....and well Jared and Kelsey are in it!! We totally saw them on the big screen too!! So cool!

The film was awesome!! If you ever have a chance to check it out....it's a must see!!  Odd Brodsky is a comedy type film about following your dreams!! Congrats to everyone who was apart of this project, It was very well done!!   I feel very lucky to have been apart of it!!  Thank you Cindy Baer for allowing me to be apart of this project!! It was a super great time!!

I just heard that another film I was lucky enough to be apart of, Odd Brodsky..... will be screening in June 2014!!  It will be screening at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood....and this will make film #2 for me that has been shown there....I feel so lucky!! :)   I played a Moviegoer, to spot me you will have to look hard....I'm wearing my wig!! hehe.
