8.13 at the Hollyshorts Film Festival 2013

Wahooo...Tonight is the night!! 8.13 will be on the BIG SCREEN over at the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California!! 9th Annual Hollyshorts 2013 Film Festival.

The night went super!!  It was so nice reconnecting with my Zom813 family again! For those Zom813z that couldn't make it...you were missed!! :)   Hollyshorts 2013 film festival had 12,000 in attendance this year!! Amazing!!   I can tell you honestly, the night we had our block at 9:30 PM on Wed. Aug 21st....the theatre was SOLD OUT!!  There were people standing b/c they over sold tickets!! Pretty freakin' cool really!! That was some really cool exposure!

I want to thank everyone who ran the Hollyshorts festival, it was wonderful and the venue was awesome!  Also, I shout out to my Zom813 Cast and Crew.....it was great to see everyone again!!  I feel so lucky to have been apart of this amazing group of people!! Thanks for all the hours, blood, sweat and tears to make it all happen!!

8.13 Filming Episode 20 "The Lions Den" Out now!

Today we got to  mix things up a bit!! ;)
Yep, on set again with my Zom813 family!! We always have a blast!!
Tonight we are filming episode 20 titled "The Lions Den"!!
How are we mixing things up, you might ask....well..I'm NOT a zombie tonight!?  I get to be a new character!! Tonight I got to play a Cult Member!! haha.  Creepy Fun Stuff!!
Kelsey Shoup my Daughter and side kick got to also join in the creepy fun and become a cult member with me!! Yippie!! Her second appearance on 8.13!!  It was pretty cool because she was just coming to set with me tonight to hang out...but the creator/producer/editor/actress Traycee King said...hey...Kelsey, you want to be a cult member tonight?? She was like...ummm...what's a cult ?? I explained to her what we would be doing....and what that was.  lol. She then thought about it and said..SURE!  Luckily I had extra clothes with me and she can fit my sizes!! She was set!!  It's always extra special when someone on set asks for you to join the cast again!!  :) Thanks Traycee!!

Of course, we had a blast playing a creepy Cult members.....the set was nicely done...totally gave that spooky vibe!!  It was great fun!!

It was a bittersweet night really....after just over a year working with my Zom813 family...I was officially wrapped!! WOW!  It has been such a fun journey!! I have learned lots, had lots of fun and met some truly amazing talent and made great friends!!!  We have all been bloody together, dirty, sweaty, cold, creepy and just plain spooky together and I'll miss it!!

It brought a tear to my eyes when I saw this on Facebook from Traycee..

I've got butterflies... next weekend is the LAST weekend of filming 8.13.. a 2 year project will finally end.

Thank you Sara Fletcher, Paula Rhodes, Buck Eff Nayked, Inker Bella, and Troy Butcher for being awesome the ENTIRE WEEKEND! You might be wrapped forever, but your creepiness will live on. ♥

Oh my gosh...I can't believe it!! It's been exactly 1 day shy of filming 1 year ago with my Zom813 family .... the TV show 8.13 !!  I'm back on set again today to once again play a blooded up zombie!!! Errr....We are working on episode 15 titled "1 Little, 2 Little, 5 Little Indians" .  Today is extra special....why you might ask??? Because my little side kick and Daughter Kelsey Shoup got to film with us!! She is officially part of our Zom813 family!! Welcome to our Zombie Fold my love!! ;)

We had a blast as always!! She was excited she got to be apart of 8.13.  She has been on set with me before and got to watch me....and now she gets to partake in the bloodly fun!! hehe!  There was 3 talented Make Up artist on set today.  We both got our make up done.....and then went outside to get all bloody.  It was so funny, they gave us blood in a medicine cup....oh you know, the kind you used to take your liquid medicine in when you were a kid.  At the count of 3.....we all took a shot of our blood...of course, it's stage blood guys! ;)

And the transformation beings NOW! ;) 

I was also in the Make Up seat at the same time as Kelsey! ;)

We swish it around in our mouths to stain our teeth up a bit, and then let it run down our face.....ewww! lol
Kelsey wasn't so sure she wanted to do this part.....but she of course knew it was what us Zom813s do! haha.  It's always fun to peel your sticky bloody clothing from off your skin after is had rolled all the way from your mouth to your belly button... haha.. she couldn't resist missing out on that fun! ;)

We filmed away....and had some on-lookers watching us all in acting.  There was quite a bit of us that night....not sure the exact count, but prob. at least 20 of us Zom813s and then there were other cast members as well. Lots of us filming on the streets of LA. ;)  We also had a interesting distraction, from one of our on-lookers.  Finally after our Producer Ernie came over and exchanged some kind words of....LEAVE or the cops will be called, our little "friend" was on his way! ;)

All in all...it was a super duper fun night!!!  I was so happy my Daughter got to do this with me!! It's great to build memories with her and have her not only apart of my family at home, but my film family also!!
